So what's the latest?
Friday, April 21, 2006, 10:01 PM
Nothing much really. Just living life as best I can. Trying to get ahold of old friends I haven't talked to in awhile as well as make some new ones in the process. Hitting the Crest a lot more these days especially since the weather has been nice. Not too hot and not too cold ... perfect for riding with a full leather suit! Maybe next month I'll sign up to a gym ... maybe.

Magic Number 153
Saturday, April 8, 2006, 06:16 AM
So what is with 153? Not sure, but that's how much I weight now. And it doesn't fluctuate! What is up with that?! I mean in the morning ... 153lbs. Come home ... 153lbs. No change. Not any thinner or thicker ... I guess that's a good thing, but with my "so-so" eating habits I would figure it wouldn't be so ... flat. Oh well ...

Current Events

So how was the move? It was ok. Still have a few boxes left and Kaith's room has lots of toys I know of no place to put them currently, but she has a cool new bed with a canopy! Thanks IKEA! I don't know where her recent interest in fake tattoos is coming from, but she got a cool pink flower tattoo this past weekend. Pictures here. Cute isn't she?
Went to New York on business last week. Wasn't as stressful as the last time I went so I had time to enjoy the city a bit more. Went to the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum. What a great experience! It took me half a day just to walk the entire museum and that's just briefly glancing at the exhibits. I spent only a few hours at the Met and I didn't see everything I wanted. But it was nice nonetheless.
Went to Angeles Crest Highway (ACH) 2 weekends ago. What a great ride! I thought it was going to be really technical, but the road we took was super easy to ride. Pictures are here. I'll try to get some better pics this weekend. Maybe try to scrub the tires down a little more so I can finally put on those Pilot Powers I got sitting in the garage. Speaking of garage ... no shelves or hangers makes for a cluttered garage floor. I'll try to rememdy that this weekend. At least get some of the heavy leathers off the floor. Maybe a shelf or 2 as a workbench of sorts.

Moving Again ...
Monday, March 6, 2006, 05:42 AM
Moving sucks! I never thought I was much of a "pack rat" but I guess I am. I have so much old stuff that I'm going to definitely fill the garbage bin outside my complex. I mean ... an old keyboard from 10 years ago! Give me a break! Why do I need that ... why did I save that?! It's going to be sad leaving Northridge ... I liked it here. My neighbors were cool and my commute to work was excellent (<10 minutes city streets).
Oh well ... such is life. You just got to roll with it!

The Evil That Women Do
Friday, March 3, 2006, 01:08 AM
Nice story ...

She spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases. On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things. On the third day, she sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight, put on some soft background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle of Chardonnay. When she had finished, she went into each and every room and deposited a few
half-eaten shrimp shells, dipped in caviar, into the hollow of the curtain rods.
She then cleaned up the kitchen and left. When the husband returned with his new girlfriend, all was bliss for the first few days. Then slowly, the house began to smell. They tried everything; cleaning and mopping and airing the place out. Vents were checked for dead rodents, and carpets were steam cleaned. Air fresheners were hung everywhere! Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters, during which they had to move out for a few days, and in the end they even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting. Nothing worked.
People stopped coming over to visit... Repairmen refused to work in the house... The maid quit... Finally, they could not take the stench any longer and decided to move. A month later, even though they had cut their price in half, they could not find a buyer for their stinky house. Word got out, and eventually, even the local realtors refused to return their calls. Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to purchase a
new place. The ex-wife called the man, and asked how things were going. He told her the saga of the rotting house. She listened politely, and said that she missed her old home terribly, and would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back... Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the smell was, he agreed on a price that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth...But only if she were to sign the papers that very day. She agreed, and within the hour, his lawyers delivered the paperwork. A week later, the man and his new girlfriend stood smirking as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home... including the curtain rods.

Rational Idiocracy
Tuesday, February 21, 2006, 09:23 AM
Rational Idiocracy!? What am I talking about? The phenomenon, where someone you are trying to hold a conversation with, is not making any sense at all. And it's not you ... it's the other person. People get so involved in what they think is right, they fail to really tie it up in a nice knot for other people to see. And it's frustrating as hell to listen to this incomplete train of thought and try to Rationlize the Idiocracy.
I'm sorry but I've done it for way too long and it's about time I just wave my hands in the air and say "I give up! I don't understand anything you say or do. Just don't hurt yourself."
