Why Don't I Have a Green Thumb?
Friday, July 7, 2006, 06:22 PM
Relationships are like plants. I would say flower, but that's a little cheesy. Seriously though! Relationships are very similar to plants. First you got to choose the right seed. You don't want to grow something that doesn't agree with your sinuses. Same with any relationship. Then you choose some earth and a pot. A nice home to cultivate your would be relationship. That is unless you are growing weed in your dormitory with a hydroponics setup. That would be the equivalent of tweaked out crack whore! But you could be in to that sort of thing. Pete! What comes next? Well, just enough water not to drown your relationship and lots of sun for that much needed photosynthesis! Wait a bit and see what you have created!
That only works for people with "green thumbs" like my uncle. Not the metaphor ... the real thing. He's got a huge garden in a relatively small space and he seems to have been growing plants ever since the dawn of man! Can't build a greenhouse to save his life (or his house for that matter), but that's another story!
Growing plants sounds simple? Not many steps and even children can do it. So why are relationships so much harder! I'll tell you why ... the answer to this question is very simple. Women are too damn complicated!!! Ok, I take that back ... maybe it's just me. No ... I don't want to take that back women are complicated and they take too much time to decide ... anything! That's why most men don't have "green thumbs" ...
Kaith Update
Thursday, June 29, 2006, 10:06 PM
Ok so we finally agreed on a school for Kaith. She started this week Monday and everything seems to be going well. She was a little hesitant yesterday about going to school and today she was hesitant about taking a nap, but I think things are looking good. I expect her to be a little hesitant especially during this time. But I think she will eventually like the school. She showed me the sand box (she loves the sand box) and the big slide they had. Plus, they have a catepillar! I'm excited to see her reaction when the catepillar turns into a butterfly! Another one of my daughter's favorites!
Well, I wish I took pictures at the Zoo ... but someone (TONY!) still had my camera. I will promise to take more pictures in the future. Why is it everywhere I go, I'm the only one taking pictures? That's why you don't see me in many pictures ...
What's Been Going On With Life *Part 2*

So more on paintball ... team name changed beginning of this year from Hard Eight to Lynch Mob. Not a big change ... still the same people. In the next few months of summer, we're planning on holding a 3-man Rookie Tournament Series. Exciting stuff! So if you play, check back because I will host the flier somewhere on my server!
Practice this Saturday morning. Going to bring out Mark for his first taste of paintball. I hope I don't collapse in this heat. Last time I played I drank a ton of water/gatorade and I still ended the day with a headache. That didn't stop me from going up the Crest, but it was something I was willing to live through.
The new Quest is performing well and
Inoviq's VX v2.1 chip is performing flawlessly. Anyone with a DM4/5/C or Quest with OG board needs to upgrade to one of these bad boys! In any case, I hope they don't want me to play front. That equates to more running and I'm definitely not in shape.
Speaking of getting into shape ... going to try and start up hockey, volleyball, and tennis again. So if any of you out there want to play or know where to play give me a ring! I tried my local gym for volleyball and they have this wierd reverse coed rule. Guys can't block and they can't hit forward of the the 10!!! What's up with that!?!? And there sure as hell no ice in the valley so ice hockey is out! Roller or floor baby! Tennis anyone?
What's Been Going On With Life *Part 1*

So what has been going on? Well, to tell you the truth ... not much. Which is a good and bad thing. I'll try to explain as we go ... Work is picking up and I'm actually going to see a project all the way from design to production. This is a good thing. Hopefully, this new product completely blows up and spreads like wild fire! Then again, it could do that and all I get is a "pat on the back" and a "good job". That would be a bad thing.
Inoviq has been really slow and we haven't really devloped anything new. Mainly my fault really ... just haven't been motivated enough to continue working at home after the day job. I need to find my motivation again. This is a bad thing. Hopefully this will change ...
You might know by now, but I got my first
tattoo about a month ago. Yeah ... some people freaked and some people didn't. Doesn't really matter to me. It's a dragon with my daughter's name in Chinese characters. Symbolizes strength and protection. I felt it appropriate because I don't get to see her as often as I would like. Divorce is not something anyone should go through and it doesn't really get any easier. More on this later ... but this weekend Kaith and I are going to the Zoo! Havne't been there in awhile and I know we will enjoy the animals, kettle corn, ice cream, and those funny drinks shapped like a gorilla!
I saw La Tratoria with James, Grace, and Kelly not too long ago. Man it's been a long time since I last saw an opera! It was great! The seats were a little obscure and I had a great view of the railing 5 rows down, but what can you expect for balcony seating in the nose bleed section. Lion King is coming to town ... will definitely have to enjoy that performance when it comes out. Who will I take? I don't know ... definitely not going alone that's fo' sho!
Hitting the Crest alot these days. I think I have more miles on my bike than Tony! Significance? Tony bought his a few months before I did! In any case, I like the Crest. Nice roads, good scenary, good eats, and lots of twisties! Now all I need to do is get my ass to the track! Riding up the Crest is nice, but it's still a public road that's not very well maintained. Track is the best place for this sort of riding ... I just need to get a sponsor so I don't have to pay for much!
Paintball? Yeah I play that ever so often ... Lynch Mob is back! Are we going to play PSP LA/SD? Only time will tell ... more on that later.
For all the peeps that I saw this past month ... YO WHAT UP!? IT WAS DAMN NICE TO SEE EVERYONE! Thanks to Hans for coming out even though he had busy schedule with his friends wedding; thanks to Kosho for hauling my ass around and staying up late (well sorta' .. he slept early) wit me; thanks to Wade for introducing me to your lovely wife, letting me stay at your place, and driving me to get my car; thanks to Carlos for bring out Patty ... oh my god!; thanks to Tony for the brief but awesome beach view at the hotel; thanks to Chika for ... being Chika!; thanks to Peter's 05 636 for not highsiding when you got that nasty speed wobble; and thanks to everyone else that missed because my memory is poor, but in my heart I still remember!
Strange Things at the Crest
Wednesday, June 7, 2006, 09:02 PM
So went to the Crest this past Sunday like I always do. New guy Cris followed in his trick S4! What happened? Tony and his nice new Ducati 999 hit a bird! Can you believe it? At first Tony was saying he hit a huge butterfly, but after we got back to my place. We noticed a quarter of a bird sitting pretty in his headlight housing. That's definitely one way to go!
Memorial Day Holiday
Thursday, June 1, 2006, 03:57 AM
For the past few years, I've never really enjoyed Memorial Day Holiday. Why? It's the same time as when my grandfather passed away. I have nothing against the holiday itself, it just reminds me of a sad time. If you know me well enough, you know that my grandfather meant a lot to me. He was the "glue" that held our family together. I've only known one other person like that but he's in Shanghai about to get married!
To make life a little stranger, I received word that my father was admitted into the Veteran's Hospital mid-last week. Why? Heart complications. He's ok now, but it was like reliving the past with my grandfather. Maybe it's just that stage in life ... He's ok now, passed some tests and is getting a pace maker installed.
Tony had a BBQ this past Sunday. What a great way to spend an afternoon! I can't thank his family enough. Kaith was a little scared at first, but she normally is shy when she first meets people. After an hour, she was laughing and playing with Pauline's kids. It was great! Kaith really enjoyed playing with the other kids and it was good to see her enjoying life. I got so caught up in the moment that I forgot to take pictures!
Vegas BABY!
Thursday, May 11, 2006, 07:11 AM
Will came down from the Pacific Northwest to see how the lighter side of the sun lives!
Pics are up! Thanks to Chika for a great time! Thanks to Dolce for the lack of sleep! And thanks to Amanda for telling everyone and anyone how alcohol intolerant I am!
So what's the latest?
Friday, April 21, 2006, 10:01 PM
Nothing much really. Just living life as best I can. Trying to get ahold of old friends I haven't talked to in awhile as well as make some new ones in the process. Hitting the Crest a lot more these days especially since the weather has been nice. Not too hot and not too cold ... perfect for riding with a full leather suit! Maybe next month I'll sign up to a gym ... maybe.
