Trepidation?
Monday, October 30, 2006, 04:45 AM
Life is ever changing. I believe people that accomodate life's changes the best are the most successful. People always talk about life's most challenging moments: getting married, parenting a child, or buying a house. Are these really life's most challenging moments? I don't believe so ... my Aunt just found out that she has Cancer.
I can only imagine what my cousins are going through. My mom went through Breast Cancer when I was younger. I don't really think I understood completely what was going on but I'm thankful that she is better now. How do you deal with life's most challenging moments? With fear and trepidation? No ... with open eyes and wisdom of past experience.

Bon Voyage

Why are "Good Byes" so hard? Maybe they should be "See you laters!" Or "Until next time" There was a lot more I wanted to say, but it happened so quick. I was walking back from the airport terminal today and I started remembering all the times we had. Like those near death experiences where your mind goes berzerk! Your life flashes before your eyes ... It was kind of like that. Old and new memories flashed before my eyes. Before I knew it ... I was gazing out toward the parking lot on the third level of the parking structure. Standing ... right beside my car, but didn't feel like getting in. So I stood there ... looking at the sun slowly setting ... cars passing below me ...
Suddenly I noticed my phone was telling me I had received a text message. "Thanks brother" is what it read. And in those two simple words everything was summed up. T's crossed and i's dotted. Like a nice little package with a red ribbon. It was everything I wanted to say and more ... "See you soon" is what I responded back with.

Take care and be safe wherever you are.

Your bro

The Getty
Monday, August 21, 2006, 09:15 PM
Went to the Getty this past weekend with Kaith. Her first time at a museum. I haven't been to the Getty in years, but wow have things changed! The place hasn't changed much but they have added a few more exhibitions. Pics are up in the Gallery. Thanks to Grace for a great Saturday outing! Too bad we couldn't stay for the outdoor concert. That looked like fun! Next time definitely!

Big Willow
Friday, August 18, 2006, 02:48 AM
What a great way to spend my 31st birthday. Sun, fun, friends, and motorcycle ridin' at Big Willow! I had a blast this past 12th of August! Bryant, Jen, Tony, and Will all came out to this event! I couldn't have asked for anything more! Well, maybe minus the whole off road excursion Jen took ... TWICE! Pics are here. Check em' out! I wish I had pictures in the pits, but I forgot my camera at home. :( Next time ... so stay tuned!

First Words!

Ok so I'm not sure who came up with these first, but I just wanted to post them up for the world to see! What were we talking about? I'm not sure ... Tony and I were driving Will to the airport last Tuesday and I think Will and his propositioning techinique fell under scrutiny. Next thing we know "giggoho" and "mangina" come out. WHAT?! Well you see, Will isn't the most successful person in the world and looks the part. All his efforts to stay in the States have been thwarted by Big Brother. Talk about getting the shaft! In any case, we thought it best to relocate his profession. Hence ... giggoho! And mangina! I'm sure you are all smart enough to know which words these came from ...

Tim's Wedding!
Tuesday, August 15, 2006, 06:44 PM
Congratulations to Tim and Grace! What a huge reception! I think there was close to 800 people in attendance. I saw friends I haven't seen in years! Also, congratulations to Courtney on your recent marriage! Pics are up in the Photo Gallery. I wish I got more pics, but little Timmy liked the camera so much I couldn't take away his favorite toy!
It was good seeing everyone ... especially catching up with everyone at Tim's place. But man am I tired!!! I had little sleep with too much partying and not enough hours in a day to do everything I wanted to do!!!! But it was a fun filled weekend! Stay tuned for a race report from Big Willow!
Family and friends are hidden secrets to a happy life. The line between them gets blurred which comforts me. Why? My family is back home in San Francisco and I've been "away" from home for quite some time. So my friends are my "family away from my family". I dearly miss you all and I hope for a safe flight/drive home.

Sea World Round 1
Tuesday, August 8, 2006, 11:53 PM
Went to Sea World this past weekend with Kaith. She loved it, but we had to leave a little early to get back home in time. The new Shamu show ("Believe!") was good, but Tony and I agree that the Marketing Department at Sea World is working overtime!
Kaith was trying on an XS helmet at BK's shop ... the day before! Check out the pics! They are so cute! She almost fell over because the helmet was too heavy. I guess that's how Jen feels when riding ... ;P Didn't get a chance to ride down, but next time! Bought a Fun Pass to Sea World so we have to go at least once more before the year is up!
Janet's BBQ was some of the best Kalbi I've had in awhile! Thanks to Janet and Jen for taking Kaith in the pool and the jacuzzi! You definitely don't want to see me in a speedo! And the pool was cold ... talk about shrinkage!
Overall the weekend was splendid and need to do it again! I miss San Diego and all their inhabitants!

Trip to San Diego!
Monday, July 31, 2006, 11:01 PM
Took a trip to San Diego to visit a few friends and change out tires on the motorcycle. Saw Bryant's new shop location off Miramar Road. What a nice place! The show room floor is really nice and the fact that they have a 27" TV connected to a PS2 with Tourist Trophy permanently in the drive! A big thanks to Jae for letting BK sneak out early to hang!
Tried to hit Palomar on Saturday afternoon, but it rained! Can you believe that?! I mean it rained on the way down, but it wasn't too bad! Rain, hot, and humid! Like we were in Florida or something!? Weird! In any case, got to ride around San Diego a bit ... too bad Palomar was rained out, but at least got to see Jen and Tony's bikes! And Jen, yes you did handle the R1 rather well ... but for Pete's sake! Use the left hand!!! Right hand 99% on the throttle! Can't wait to see you guys at Big Willow!
Seeing San Diego for the first time in a long time was awesome! I can't say how much I miss San Diego! Lots of things have changed, but alot has also stayed the same. I wish I could've spent more time down there, but with all good things ... must come to an end.
Someone once told me, "True friends can not see each other in a long while and behave as if time stood still until next they meet." Thanks Tony! Out of all the things that we talked about ... that has to be one of them that I hold closest to heart! There are other stories, but I can't divulge them online on a public forum ... :D
Old friends, new friends, old places, new places, familiarity, friendship ... family! It doesn't matter what stage in life I'm in ... doesn't matter where I live ... I know I'll always have a family away from my family anywhere I go. What's the true meaning of friendship? I can't tell you ... I have to show you.
